R. Hartman, at the Hamilton Roller Mills, known as Hostetter’s mill, formerly Brown’s mill, five miles from New Oxford, at 9:45 o’clock last evening from paralysis. The deceased had been in failing health since last November. He was aged 84 years, 8 months and 20 days. The deceased was a son of Samuel Weaver. In early life was the miller at the place where he died, later he was engaged in farming until the death of his wife who was Miss Elizabeth Jacobs, daughter of Solomon Jacobs, of Reading Township, 48 years ago. Then he followed carpentering for a number of years, retiring about 20 years ago. He resided with his daughter, Mrs. H. T. Wehler, in New Oxford, for about 15 years, going to the Hartman home last February. He is survived by seven children: John Weaver, of Westminster; Solomon, of Wormleysburg; Miss Nancy Weaver, of East Berlin; Mrs. C. W. Warner, of Mt. Washington, Md.; Mrs. H. T. Wehler, of New Oxford; Mrs. John S. Ream, of Gardners, and Miss A. R. Hartman, of Hostetter’s mill. There are also two brothers surviving, Edward Weaver, of Hanover Street, this place, and Christian Weaver, of East Berlin; also 26 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral, Sunday, May 7th, brief services at the house at 1 p.m. further services and interment at the . . . .
