All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/adams/ _______________________________________________ Mrs. Caroline Wenk died suddenly Wednesday of last week at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Cullings, in Carlisle, from heart failure, aged 74 years. Deceased had not been in good health for several months, but on Wednesday she was up and around in the house, and while sitting in a rocking chair suddenly expired. Mrs. Wenk was a most estimable Christian woman, being a member of First Lutheran Church, of Carlisle. She was born near Bendersville, and married John B. Wenk, who died 12 years ago. The following children survive: Mrs. H. P. Cashman, Gettysburg; J. F. Wenk, Marianette, Wis.; Mrs. Wm. Cullings, Carlisle; D. F. Wenk, Aspers; Mrs. Catherine Rexroth, Carlisle; George Wenk, Mechanicsburg; Mrs. D. P. Mumma, Bendersville; Mrs. Elmer Yeatts, Carlisle; P. W. Wenk, Carlisle, and Mrs. Bertha Smiley, of Philadelphia.
