Mrs. Lucy Witmore, widow of Henry Witmore, died last Thursday at her home at 
Mummasburg after nine days’ illness, from pneumonia, aged 78 years.  The funeral 
was held on Sunday.  Rev. T. C. Hesson conducted services in the Reformed Church 
at Arendtsville, of which she was a member, and interment in the Arendtsville 
cemetery.  She is survived by four sisters and one brother, Mrs. Weaver of 
Biglerville, Miss Maria Crum, Mrs. Susan Kahn, Mrs. Slaybaugh, all at home, and 
Levi Crum of Guernsey.
