Helen Sneeringer, youngest daughter of Hon. Leo A. Sneeringer, and Dr. Thomas E. Darden, of Dunn, N. C. The ceremony took place in Conewago Chapel, and was performed by Rev. Charles Koch, pastor. Miss Sneeringer’s family has been identified with the Sacred Heart church for generations, and the bride bears the unusual distinction of representing the four generation to be married in this sacred edifice. The attendants were Miss M. Josephine Sneeringer as bridesmaid and Edward J. Sneeringer as best man. They are brother and sister of the bride. During the ceremonial, selected voluntaries were beautifully rendered by Miss Mary M. Smith. The bride was handsomely gowned in imported embroidered net over satin; she wore a tulle veil caught up with orange blossoms and roses and carried a shower bouquet. The bridesmaid wore a dress of cream silk crepe and shadow lace. Immediately following the Mass, a breakfast was served at the home of the bride. Among those present were: Rev. Chas. Koch and Rev. Wm. Whalen, M. Reily Sneeringer, brother of the bride, and wife, of Baltimore; Mrs. Irwin Bortner, Mr. and Mrs. George Adams, Misses Sara and Mary Sneeringer, Masters Edward, Samuel, and Leo Sneeringer, of Hanover; Misses Hannah Reily, Gertrude Lilly and Judith McElheney, of McSherrystown, and Miss Mary M. Smith, of Edgegrove. Dr. and Mrs. Darden will reside in Dunn, N. C., after a ten days wedding trip to Baltimore, Washington and other points. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, February 5, 1916
