Klinefelter United in Marriage Addison Stewart Horner and Miss Eva Leoma Klinefelter were united in marriage at the bride’s home, near New Oxford, at high noon Tuesday, February 1st, by Rev. Dr. F. S. Lindaman, of Littlestown. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel H. Klinefelter, while the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Silas Horner, of Littlestown. The Lohengrin wedding march was played by Mrs. Mervin Weikert, of Littlestown, while the contracting couple marched slowly into the parlor and took their places under an arch of evergreen trimmed with carnations and sweet peas. The ring ceremony of the Reformed church was used. The bride was handsomely gowned in white satin and was attended by Miss Ruth Horner, a sister of the groom, as bridesmaid, who was attired in yellow taffeta. Both carried bouquets of rosebuds and maiden hair fern. Claude Derr, of Gettysburg, acted as best man and the flower girls were Miss Esther L. Redding, of this place, a cousin of the bride, and Miss Catherine Horner, a niece of the groom. They each carried a basket of carnations, sweet peas, roses and smilax. Following the ceremony, a dinner was served to the guests. Many useful presents were received by the bride, including silver, cut-glass and linen. The young couple will reside on a farm near Gettysburg, recently purchased by the groom. The Hanover Herald – Saturday, February 5, 1916
