The Last Will & Testament (incomplete) of Fredrick BAUGHER of Berwick Township, 
Adams County, PA

In the name of god Amen  I Frederick Baugher of Berwick Township Adams County & 
State of Pennsylvania being of Sound & disposing mind& memory praised be god for 
the Same & being desirous to settle my worldly affairs while I have strength & 
capacity so to do, (?) & publish this my last will & testament, hereby revoking 
& making void all former wills by me made at any time heretofore made, and first 
and principally I commit my soul into the hands of the Creator who gave it & my 
body to the earth, and as to such worldly estate wherewith it has pleased the 
Almighty to intrust to me. I dispose of the same as follows 

__ I will in the first place that all my property both real & personal shall be 
sold so soon as it can be done. 

__ Secondly I will that all my just debts as shall be owing by me at my death, 
together with my funeral expenses & all charges (?) touching the proving of or 
otherwise concerning this my will shall be paid 

__ Thirdly I will to my daughter Maria intermarried with Henry Geiger five 
dollars. The residue of the money (?) out of the sale of my property & otherwise 
shall be distributed amongst the remainder of (?) viz  George, Isaac, Frederick, 
Henry, Lewis, Elizabeth intermarried Jno Graybill, Catharine intermarried with 
Lewis Smith, Susan intermarried with Samuel Fahnestock, Charlotte intermarried 
with Robert Beam, Harriet intermarried with Benjamin Deford, Margaret 
intermarried with Jacob Hammer, & Nancy intermarried with Henry Geth Share & 
Share alike including (?) I have already given them Giving to those that have 
received the least (at my death) (?) them all equal  Excepting my son Isaac who 
is already named I will that he is to have fifty dollars over and above any of 
the rest of my Children let it be understood that it is my will and meaning that 
my daughter Maria intermarried with Henry Geiger no more than five dollars 
already named & what she has already received

__ and I make and ordain my sons Isaac Baugher & Frederick Baugher Executors of 
this my last will & testament. In the (?) whereof I Frederick Baugher testator 
have to this my will consisting of one sheet of paper (?) my hand & seal  this 
ninth day of August in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and 
thirty

Adams County_______   Before me John B. Clark register for the probate of wills 
& granting of letters of Administration in & for the County of Adams in the 
State of Pennsylvania personally appeared Joseph Carle & Jonas Hartzell  the 
subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing who on their (?) do 
say that they were personally present & saw & heard the therein named Frederick 
Baugher (?) name unto & seal & publish the foregoing instrument of writing as & 
for his last will & testament (?)  of doing thereof, he the said Frederick 
Baugher was of a sound mind and memory (?) belief & that they subscribed their 
names thereto as witnesses (?)  (?).
