All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Jack Novicki pajznovici@aol.com February 9, 2006, 11:54 am Source: Sampubco Photo Copy Of The Hand-written Will Will written & signed: September 21, 1807 ========================================================================= No. 418 In the name of God amen ~ I Christopher Hollibaugh of Mount Pleasant township in the County of Adams and state of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind memory and understanding, considering the uncertainty of this life do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner and form following to wit Principally and first of all I comment my soul into the hands of God and my body to be buried in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors herein mentioned AND as to such worldly Estate give and dispose of the same in the following manner to wit, I give unto my loving wife Cathrena Hollobaugh the Bead and Bedstead that she usually sleeps in and a cow for and during his life and the said bed and cow is to be sold by my said executor and I do order my executor to pay all my just debts and funeral Expenses and further I do give all the rest of my estate unto my executor of whatever kind it may be to be sold by him and the money arising to be aplied to paying my debts and the remainder to be applied at the discretion of my executor in support of my wife if he thinks necessary, and the balence then remaining after her dec[eased] to be equally divided among my Children and grand Children to wit. First unto my daughter Mary interm divided with Michael Gimber, then unto my son Christopher Hollobaugh then unto my son Martin Hollobuagh, then unto my daughter Susanna intermarried with Henry Little, then unto the two Chilcren of my dec[eased] son William Hollobaugh then unto the two Children of my dec[eased] daughter Cathrena which was intermarried with Jacob Enk, so that my son Williams, two children will get together one equal share, as also my said Daughter Cathrena Dec[eased] his two Children is also to have one equal share with the rest of my Children named above my son Philip only excepted for he hath already rec[eived] his share out of the plantation, the above are to be received this money in rotation as they are named herein and lastly I do nominate and appoint my friend John Slagle to be my executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other wills or Legacies heretofore by me made in testimony I Christopher Bollobaugh do sign seal and publish this instrument of writing to be my last will and testament as Witnes my hand and seal this twenty first day of September One thousand Eight hundred and seven Signed sealed pronounced and { Christopher Hollobaugh (((SEAL))) Declared by the said testator to be { ~~~~~~~######~~~~~~~ His last will and testament in { Presence of us ~ { ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lindsey Sturgeon ~ { Adams County Pa~ Mathias Martin~ { Before James ~~~~######~~~~ { Duncan Esq. Register for the probate of will and granting letter of Administration in and for the said County of Adams in the state of Pennsylvania Personally came Lindsey Sturgeon and Mathias Martin the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing[?] and on their Solemn Oaths do severally say that they were personally present and saw and heard the above named Christopher Hollobaugh sign his name unto and seal & publish the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his last will and testament and at the time of doing thereof he the said Christopher Hollobough was of sound & disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and beleif and that they subscribed their names thereto as witnesses in the presence of the said testator and at his request & also in the presence of each other at the same time.
