Written: 1831 Recorded: April 20, 1831 In the names of God Amen. I Frederick Palmer of the Township of Germany and in the County of Adams Co., and State of Penn. being weak in body and advanced in years, but sound mind, memory, and under standing ( thanks be, to be Almighty God the same.] Being mindful of my mortality do make and constitute this my last will and Testament. As follows ' first and principally I recommend my immortality spirit into the hands of God who gave it in hopes of a joyful resurrection and my body to the earth. [to be please God to separate my soul and body and as to such worldly estate where with it has pleased God to help.] I give and dispose there are as follows. Viz Item it is my will and I order and direct that all my personal property will immediately be sold after my decease by My executors here and after named and from the proceeds thereof all my just debts and funeral expenses except my clothing and wearing apparel shall not be sold but shall be equal decided by my executors and one half be given to my son Henry Palmer and the other half to my son John Palmer. It is further my will that my plantation tract of land lying in Germany Tew., a aforesaid shall within one year after my deceased be sold for the best price that can be had for the same. by my executors, to whom, I hereby give full power, to Convey the same to the purchaser or purchasers as fully and effectually as I my self could do were I than Living It is further My wish I do will and bequeath unto Eve a Lingerfeller special legacy of &50.00 to be paid to her over and and above of what I shall or my be owing to her for hiring wages at the time of my deceased. Provided that she shall survive. ; I also will and bequeath unto my grandson Frederick Palmer the sum of &50.00. when which some as legacy shall be paid to him by my executor as soon as he shall have ascend to the age of twenty-one years. It is further my will and I do direct that what so ever remains of the proceeds of my estate both real and personal after the my just debt and funeral expenses and the special legacy aforesaid an paid, shall be apportioned and divided in five equal part and hereafter divided just- It shall be divided in five equal parts and one share there of paid to my son Henry, except twenty five dollars which shall be deducted out of his share and be made a part of my estate, one other share to my son John except forty dollars which shall be deducted out of his share or portion and also made a part of my estate it being in of eighty Acres of land which I have conveyed to I also will and bequeath on other share to my daughter Catherine intermarried to John Kugler to there legal representatives and one share daughter Barbara widow of Abraham Sell provided that if she remarries yet single at the time of my deceased but if it should so happen that she be married again be for my deceased or before her part and portion out of my estate is paid to her than in that case is my will that her share will shall be paid to her children after they shall have ascend at the age of twenty-one and I also will and bequeath one other and last share of my estate to the children of my daughter Eve intermarried to Adam Unger except of the son of &50.00 dollars which shall be deducted out of there share or portion facto be made a portion of my estate it being for money which I have advanced to there father Adam Unger which said sum of fifty dollars and the forty dollars which are to deducted out of my son John's share and also the twenty five dollars out of my sons Henry's share shall be made part of my estate and shall be equally divided by executors amongst my respective heirs under this my last will and testament. and it is my well and I direct that in case none of the children of my daughter Eve or my grandson Frederick Palmer and Eve Linegerfetter to whom I have each bequeath the sum of fifty dollars shall be living at the time Their part or portion and special legacies to the be queath shall be come payable, than it that case, the part or portion of Thier money of Their share shall go and be equal divided amongst my other heirs under this my will and Testament share and share alike but in no case shall or portion of the children my daughter Eve go to the father Adam Unger; And lastly I make ordain and appoint my trusty friends John Keegler, and Abraham Sell my executors of this my last will and testament jointly and severally to execute the same, agreeable to the heirs instead and reassessing there of, I hereby revoke all former wills in testimony whereof I have herewith to set my hand and seal this twenty day of April A.D. 1831. ` sign seal published pronounced and dictated by Frederick Palmer~ Frederick Palmer his Mark.
