Cover Page reads as follows: No. 162 Nicholas Walter's Last Will and Testament Inventory filed 27th Oct 1804 Letters (ip?) 4.61 F (Note: This copy stamped: "Adams County Historical Society, 5157, Gettysburg, PA") End of Cover Page In the Name of God Amen The fifteenth Day of September In the Year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and four, I Nicholas Walter of the Town of McSherry In the county of Adams And State of pennsylvania school Master being old and Finding myself weak of body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto god therefore calling unto Mind the Mortality of My Body and knowing that is Appointed for all Men once to Die Do make and ordain this My Last Will and Testament that Is to Say Principally and first of all I give and Recommend My Soul into the hand of God that gave it and for My body I Recommend it to the Earth to be buried in a Christian like and Decent manner at the Discretion of my Executors Nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection I Shall Receive the Same again by the Mighty Powers of god And touching Such Worldly Estate where with it hath Pleased God to Bless me in this Life I give Devise and Dispose of the Following Manner and form ImPrimis it is my Will and I Do order that in the firs Place all my Debts and funeral charge be paid and satisfied Item I Do order that my hereinafter Named Executors to be cause an inventory to be Made Of all Good Chattles Rights and credits aftter my Decease as Soon as Desency will Permit Item I Do order and is My Will that My Dearly beloved Wife Rosanna cthal have all my Real And Personal estate as so will my house and Lot in the town of McSherry in the county of Adams aforeSaid And Household furniture Wearing Apparrel cow, hogs And all whatsoever belonged to Me During her Natural Life to Do there with as She Pleased further barbara ginder Shall the heffer that I now own to her Self and aftter my Wifes Decease Shall all Real and Personal Estate Be Sold by Public Vendue to the Highest bidder from My here after Named Executor Item it is my will that My Daughter Maryan shall have five pounds lawful Money first and before all after the Vendue and then the shall have Share and Share alike.
