The submitter has given permission to the USGenWeb Archives to store the file permanently for free access. http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ____________________________________________________ Edwin B Jenkins, a prominent and successful broker of Pittsburgh, Penna, was born in Kingwood, West Virginia, September 16, 1868, and is the son of William M Jenkins and Elizabeth Gibson Jenkins. His education was acquired in the common schools of his native town. When he was twenty years of age he came to Pittsburg and went into business with his uncle, Marshall L Jenkins, in the oil trade. Edwin B Jenkins was elected a member of the oil exchange in the fall of 1889 and continued a member until the exchange went out of business. He then engaged in business as a broker of stocks and grain in Pittsburg under the firm name of E B Jenkins & Co in which he is at present. In November, 1892, the firm was incorporated with a capital stock of $100,000. On February 12, 1893, Mr Jenkins was married to A Lora Crumrine, daughter of Valentine Crumrine of Beallsville, Penna. To this marriage two daughters--Helen Jenkins and Gertrude Jenkins--have been born, both girls still in school. Mr Jenkins is a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of the East End, Pittsburg.
