By 1900 Nelson was married to wife Benena and living at #67 Cherry Street. He was working as a clothing salesman, but in the next census was an inspector at a pipe mill. The couple had 5 children in all. Some confusion exists in the Greenwood records, as Nelson does not appear in the original interment book under the name Weichel. There is a NW Weigel who died on December 3, 1918, was interred on December 6th. He died in Pittsburgh at age 51 of pneumonia and was buried in Section 5, Range 9, Lot 20. It is possible that this is Nelson Weichel, as Margaret Weichel also appears in this lot.
