Written: September 26, 1896 Western District of Pennsylvania I, William T. Lindsay, Clerk of the District Court of the United States for the Western District of Pennsylvania, do hereby certify that on the twenty-sixth day of September A.D. one thousand eight hundred and ninety six, before me, the Clerk of the said Court, Thomas Hedges a native of Wales came and declared, bona-fide, his intention to become a citizen of the United States and to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state or sovereignty, and particularly to renounce forever all allegiance and fidelity to the Queen of Great Britain of which he is a subject. In Witness Thereof, I have hereunto set my hand and affixed the Seal of the said Court at the City of Pittsburgh, this 26 day of September A.D. 1896 and of the Independence of the United States the one hundred and twenty first.
