State of Pennsylvania,
Allegheny County
 At the City of Pittsburgh, in the Court of Allegheny in the Commonwealth of 
Pennsylvania, on Saturday, the 28th day of August in the year of our Lord one 
thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, Peter Zebert a native of Germany came 
before J.O.Brown,Prothonotary of  Common Pleas No.1,of the County 
Aforesaid,and filed the Declaratiion of his Intention to become a citizen of 
the United States,agreeably to the Provisions to the Acts of Congress of the 
United States, in such cases made and provided as follows; 
  Peter Zebert do swear that it is bonafide my intention to become a Citizen 
of the United States,that I do hereby renounce and abjure
forever all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince,potentate,state,or 
sovereignty whatsoever,and particularly I do hereby renounce and abjure 
forever all allegiance and fidelity to the Emperorer of Germany
           whereof I was heretofore a subject.
    Sworn and subscribed before me this 
     28th Aug.A.D. 1880



Additional Comments:
It looks like the orignial name was spelled Sieber without a T.The front page 
of this document is also signed the same way.
