Allegheny County, Pennsylvania Deed Book Volume 9, page 125 Recorded the 12th Day of August 1799 KNOW All men by these presents, That I, William Hall and George Hall of Washington Township and County of Westmoreland and State of Pennsylvania doth grant bargain and sell unto James Woods of Elizabeth Township and County of Allegheney County, a certain tract of land con- taining one hundred and thirty two acres and an half with house & about twenty acres cleared, said land lying in Elizabeth Township and County of Allegheny, adjoinging land with John Fitch on the east, Joseph Bedsworth on the south and west, William Adair on the north, unto the said James Woods for the consideration of one hundred and ninety eight pounds, fifteen shillings to me in hand paid by the said James Woods, the receipt whereof we do acknowledge and allow our- selves fully satisfied and we the aforesaid William Hall & George Hall do warrant and defend forever our heirs,executors,administrators or assigns or any persons laying any claim to said tract of land. Whereunto we have set our hands and seals this twenty seventh day of April one thousand and seven hundred and ninety seven. William Hall seal George Hall seal Witness present. John Hamilton Thomas Hamilton ON the twenty 2 day of June A.D. 1799 came George Hall before me one of the Justices assigned to keep the peace in and for said county and acknowledged the above to be his act and deed and desired the same to be recoreded as such, the said George being of full age, William Hall is old and not able to travel, his son saith what he is willing that it should be acknowledged. In witness whereof I have herunto set my hand and seal. William McKee Westmoreland County April 28th 1799 Personally came before me one of the Justices of the Peace for said County, William Hall & George Hall & acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be their act and deed desired it to be recorded as such.
