Westmoreland County (Now part of Allegheny County) John Powell Know all men by these presents that John Powell of Pit (sic) To TownShip in the County of Westmoreland and Commonwealth John Zimmerman & of Pennsylvania do grant bargain sell & proffer to Mich Zim- Jacob Byers merman in the County of Bedford and State aforesaid & Jacob Byers of the State of Maryland for the consideration of one hundred and ten pounds good money of Pennsylvania to me in hand paid by Mich Zimmerman & Jacob Byers aforesd the receipt and payment whereof I acknowledge myself fully satisfied herewith for a certain tract of land in Pitts Township situated on Thompsons Run a walnut tree thence North twenty two perches to a chestnut thence North fifty five degrees East forty three perches to a sugar tree thence North thirty six degrees East sixty seven perches to a walnut tree thence North sixty degrees East to an ash thence South eighty six degrees East to a sugar tree thence North fifty five degrees East fifty three perches to a white oak thence North twenty nine degrees West Sixty five perches to a Spanis oak thence North seventy three perches & a half to a ws thence North forty seven degrees East to a black oak thence North Sixty de- grees East twenty nine perches to a button wood thence South 9 degrees East twelve perches to a white oak thence East forty one perches to a hickory thence North se- venty two degrees East thirty six perches to a buttonwood thence South thirty seven degrees West two hundred & ten & forth perches to a post thence South fifty four degrees West two hundred and ten perches to the place of beginning one hun- dred & fifty three & two fifth on an acre with the ususal allowances to have and to hold to the only proper use and behoof of the said Mich Zimmerman & Jacob Byers their heirs & assigns forever subject to the purchase money and interest that is due or be due by virtue of an order N 3362 dated 13 day of June 1769 & surveyed Novm 2 1769 which I covenant for my self my heirs and assigns forever to warrant and defend the same from all parsons claiming or to claim the same In witness I hereunto set my hand & seal this 11th day of July 1788 Signed sealed & delivered in presence of James Lawson Chris Lovengrine John Powell {Seal} Westmoreland County ss Be it remembered that John Powell came personally be- fore one of the Justices of the Court of Common Pleas in & for said County & acknowledged the above deed & desired that it might be record- ed according to the law Witness my hand & seal this 11th day of July 1788 Recorded Jany 9th A.D. 1789 Mich Buhe This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/pafiles/ File size: 3.3 Kb
