PORTER DEED Allegheny County Pennsylvania April 6, 1846 This Indenture, Made the ninth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty six Between John Wallace of Plum Township in the County of Allegheny and State of Pennsylvania Yeoman and Martha his wife of the first part and Andrew C. Porter of the County and State aforesaid Yeoman of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar lawful money of the United States of America unto them well and truly paid by the said party of the second part at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain all alien enfeoff release convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns all that messuage or piece of land Described as follows to wit Beginning at a white oak thence north eighty nine Degrees east thirty nine perches to a post thence south forty degrees east thirty two perches to a post thence north sixty two degrees east thirty two perches to a sugar tree thence north fourteen degrees east thirty three perches to a post thence south seventeen degrees west twenty one and a half to a sugar tree thence west ninety four perches to a post thence south fifty seven degrees east five perches to the place of beginning Containing five acres and one hundred and four and one tenth perches and allowances of six per cent for roads. It being a certain messuage or piece of land that the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by warrant dated the sixteenth day of November one thousand eight hundred and twenty one did grant unto John Haymaker reference thereunto being had which more fully and at large appears and the said John Haymaker and Ann his wife Did by their Deed bearing date the Twenty fourth day of December A.D. 1829 transfer and make over unto John Wallace the above described lot of five acres and one hundred and four perches and one tenth of a perch and allowance &c. for the consideration therein mentioned reference the presents being had which more fully and at large appears and the said John Wallace and Martha his wife the parties of the first part above mentioned doth grant bargain and sell unto the said party of the second part all that messuage or piece of land bounded and described as follows to wit; Beginning at a post corner of the said Wallace other land thence along lands of Robert Tweeddy north 77 degrees west 5 ½ perches to a sugar tree thence north twenty five degrees west 16 perches to stone thence south fifty one degrees east 13 perches to a button wood thence south 16 degrees east 7 ½ perches to the place of beginning Containing sixty three perches and seventeenths . It being the same lot or piece of land that Mathew Aber conveyed to John McCully May 21st AD 1818 and the said John McCully by his last will and testament Bequeathed to Robert Tweddy and the said Robert Tweeddy conveyed the same to John Wallace October 25th 1842. Together with all and singular the buildings improvements ways waters watercourses rights liberties privileges hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of the said parties of the first part in law equity or otherwise howsoever of in and to the same and every part thereof. To have and to hold the said messuage of five acres and one hundred and four perches and on tenth of land and also fifty three perches and seven tenths of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use and behoof of the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns forever. And John Wallace and Martha his wife the said parties of the first part their heirs executors and administrators do by these presents covenant grant and agree to and with the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns that they the said parties of the first part their heirs all and singular the hereditaments and premises herein above described and granted or mentioned and intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns against them the said parties of the first part and their theirs and against all and every other people or persons whosoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof shall and will warrant and forever defend. In Witness Whereof the said parties of the first part have to these presents set their hands and seals. Witness John Horner John Wallace Lawrence Green] Allegheny County SS On the sixth day of April Anno Domini 1846 before me a Justice of the Peace in and for said County personally came the above named John Wallace and Martha his wife and acknowledged the above Indenture to be their act and deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such. She the said Martha being of full age and by me examined separate and apart from her said husband and the contents of the said Indenture being first made fully known to her declared that she did of her own free will and accord sign and seal and as her act and deed deliver the same without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband.
