We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. ____________________________________________________________ Allegheny County State of Pennsylvania Deed Book, Volume 8, page 395 Deed This indenture made the sixth day of March, one thou- James Fitch sand eight hundred and twenty three, Between James to Fitch and Mary, his wife of Young Township, Trumball James Woods County, State of Ohio,legal heirs of John Fitch of the one part, and James Woods of Elizabeth Township, Alle- gheny County, State of Pennsylvania of the other part, Wittnesseth the said James Fitch and Mary his wife for and in consideration of the just and full sum of Twenty five pound, 6 shillings and three pence paid to them in hand by said James Woods at and before the unsealing and deliv- ery here of the Receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledege & thereof aquire and forever discharge the said James Woods, his heirs Executors, Administrators, by these presents, have granted, bargained, sold, alienated, released and confirmed and by these presents, do grant bargain, sell, alien & release and confirm unto the said James Woods and to his heirs and assigns, all that messuage or Tract of Land lying and situated in Elizabeth Township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.Beginning at a post and running with lands of Joseph Bedsworth, South thirty three degrees east, twenty six perches to a Post, thence with land of John Fitch, North forty five degrees, East, thirty three perches to a post, thence north fifty three degrees east, eighty one perches and five tenths to a post, thence with lands of James Woods, North sixty nine degrees West, twenty perches to a white oak, North fifty eight degrees West, nineteen perches and five tenths to a white oak. South fifty three degrees West, forty seven perches to an Ingold tree, thence south forty five degrees West, thirty three perches to the place of Beginning. Containing sixteen acres and three quarters and thwenty one perches with allowance of six percent. Where as, the above quantity of land was conveyed to James Fitch & Mary his wife on the sixth day of March 1823, by Joseph Budd Senior administrator of the estate of Joseph Fitch dec'd. Surveyed in pursaunce of warrant dated 17th March 1785. Granted to Stephen Lourey Fitch who since dec'd intestate. Whereupon letter of administration on the estate of said dec'd where on the 13 July 1821 Granted to the said Joseph Budd junior, reference to patent granted to said Joseph Budd Junior, administrator of said Joseph Fitch, in trust for the heirs of Joseph Fitch dated the third of December, enrolled in Patent Book 'H' vol.18, page 339, reference there to will more fully shew. Together with all singular other the houses, out houses, buildings, barns, stable, ways, woods, water courses, rights liberties, kpreviledge, hereditaments and whatsoever thereto belonging or in any wise apertaining. And the revisions and remainders, rents, issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right, title, interest, property claim and demand whatso- ever of them the said James Fitch of the same. To have and to hold the said messuage or tenement and tract of sixteen acres and three quarters, twenty-one perches of land hereditaments and premises here by granted or mentioned or intended so to be with appurtenances unto the said James Woods his heirs and asssigns forever and renounce and quit claim to the above described tract of land and so warrent guar- antee and defend the same to the said James Woods his heirs, Executors, Administrators or assigns and from my heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof the said James Fitch and Mary his wife have herewith set their hands and seals the day and year above written.
