(War Of 1812) Abstract of article on Page 1 (Columns 5 & 6) and Page 2 (Columns 1 & 2) of: Vol. 1: The Commonwealth, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, issue dated September 17, 1816. Abstraction Columns are 1) Numerical order in which listing appears (but there are no listing numbers in the article) 2) Name of Pensioner (last name first, for alphabetizing) 3) "at the rate of (#)dollars per month", ie: pension rate in dollars . 4) "to commence on the (day) of (month) (year)", ie: when this pension amount will begin.
