K 49 Reg't PA Vol. Inf. enlisted 16 Jul 1864 and honorably discharged 9 Nov 1864 Co H 193 Reg't PA Inf re-enlisted 10 Apr 1865 and honorably discharged 10 July 1865 Co K 49 PA Inf. pension would commence 1 Aug 1899 problem is rheumatisam and stomach trouble rejected because not honorably discharged. [TN that's what it says, but he did receive a pension and I found nothing in his file to indicate a dishonorable discharge, so evidently this was a mistake and was corrected] Pensioner Dropped Edward Acor died 7 Dec 1907 WAR DEPT. L. Bailey, VA Administration Says Edward Acor, Pension 1045072, died 7 Dec 1907. SURGEON'S CERTIFICATE Edward Acor rear 2215 Center Ave., Pittsburg, PA 19 May 1902 says 4 years ago he suddenly lost use of limbs birthplace Philadelphia age 55 height 5'4" weight 145 pounds, dark complexion, brown eyes, gray hair, occupation painter, surgeon talks about how he walks with great difficult and deviates to right when he does walk. Doctor of opinion he is not fit for any manual labor. SURGEON'S CERTIFICATE 6 Sept 1899 Edward Acor Rhumatism and stomach trouble height 5'5" weight 143 age 53 DECLARATION FOR WIDOW'S PENSION 6 Jan 1908 Mrs. Nellie Acor age 53 resides 2932 Crockett Ave., Pittsburg, Allegheny Co., PA married under name of Nellie Walsh at Pittsburg, PA on 2 Jun 1877 she was not previously married, Edward was, previous wife died Edward died 7 Dec 1907 at Latrobe, PA Names of children now living and under age 16: Henrietta born 22 Sept 1897 at Pittsburg, PA LETTER dated 25 Oct 1915 answering Mrs. Nellie Acor 239 Grandview Ave., Pittsburg, (Mt. Washington), PA says awaits evidence of death of soldier and of his former wife, date of soldiers marriage to you and date of birth of child Henrietta, for whom pension is claimed. LETTER dated 3 Mar 1939 answering Honorable James J. Davis, US Senate Senator inquires if Mrs. Nellie Acor, widow of Edward Acor, is receiving a pension. Answer, she is not as she never filed required paperwork.
