Dunmore's War
Edward McLaughlin (McGlaughlin) who settled along Plum Creek on the Groton 
Plantation, is documented in the Colonial pay records at Fort Pitt in 1775 
with a list of troops who were late in receiving their pay from 1774 in the 
Dunmore's War against the Shawnee in the Ohio country.  Most of these troops 
immediately joined Revolutionary forces.
