This school was founded in 18(?4)9 and for the past five years there has been held a reunion of former pupils, teachers and patrons. This one was a decided success; the day being perfect and everyone in the best spirits. The school is located about two miles east of Oakdale on a rather high ridge. The morning was devoted to the business session, with Prof. J. E. TIDBALL as chairman. The election of officers resulted as follows: Pres. Wilbur WRIGHT; Vice Pres. James KELSO; Treas., Albert GEYSER; Sec., Mrs. Delma SHAFER KEISLING. After the business meeting came the program, which every one took part in. Both it and the diner were unusual ones. Fried chicken, meat loaf, sandwiches and most everything one could wish were served. The afternoon program consisted of an address of welcome by E. M. NESBIT of Oakdale; solo by Rev. HALE, pastor of Montour church; reading by Mrs. JAMISON, West end Pittsburgh; solo by Mrs. Mary Etta THOMPSON; address by Dr. J. W. NEELY of Pittsburgh; short talks by former teachers, Miss ANDERSON, Prof. J. E. TIDBALL, Miss PATTERSON and Mrs. BARBOUR, the former teacher. Rev. H. C. HILDERBRAND pastor of the Union church also gave an address and two pupils, Parker BOYCE and John MCMICHAEL gave short talks. Plans were made to secure a tablet to be placed in the school with the names of the former teachers. The day passed all too quickly and all went home looking forward to their next meeting.
