The Waynesburg Messenger.: (Waynesburg, Greene County, Pa.) August 28, 1861
A little boy, son of John Herrington, of McKeesport, aged about eighteen months, met
with a painful accident on Saturday evening, 10th inst. The little fellow, while
playing around the kitchen, tripped and fell into a pan of boiling hot water that
had been left near the hearth, burning him so severely that he died on the next day.
