The body was identified by a son of deceased, this morning at Trexler & Fullerton's undertaking rooms. Mr AIKEN was employed as a canvasser for a New York tea house. He was 48 years of age and resided at Wilkinsburg with his wife and family. from The Pittsburg Press dated Tuesday, January 17, 1888 (page 3): S B AIKEN, of Pittsburg, in the employ of Bennett, Sloan & Co., tea brokers, of New York, was run over and killed by the Walls accommodation at Brushton last night. (from an article titled, Echoes of the Night) from the City Pittsburgh Death Records: Samuel B AIKEN, salesman, aged 43 years, died January 16, 1888, from injuries received on the Pennsylvania railroad near Brushton Station 21st Ward; was born in Columbus OH; lived in Wilkinsburg; burial in Jewett OH cemetery on January 19, 1888. (It appears from census and city directory records that the wife's name was Elizabeth and those of his children were John, Stella, and Lillie. This family relocated back to Columbus OH shortly after Samuel's death.)
