Birkel, Gladys M.
Died Wednesday, Jan 5, 2000 at the Passavant Retirement Center, age 86. 
Formerly of Bellevue.  Survived by brother Walter W. Birkel and his wife Helen,
of Avalon; a nephew and several nieces. She was preceded in death by her
parents, Carl & Sophie Klein Birkel; sister, Mae Maierhofer; and brothers, Carl
and Robert Birkel.  Ms. Birkel was retired from Alcoa where she had been a
secretary for over 25 years. She was a volunteer with the North Suburban Adult
Services and a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, North Freemont Av Bellevue, PA
15202.  Orion C. Pinkerton Funeral Home, 1014 California Avenue Avalon, in
charge of funeral services.  No burial information.
