These two were among the victims of the accident. ** from The Pittsburgh Commercial Gazette dated Monday, October 11, 1880 (page 1): In another coffin lay the scalded body of Mrs James F, wife of Conductor BOYD, of the P R R, and alongside the casket holding the sister of Mr. BOYD, Annie. The former was twenty-five and the latter eighteen years of age. The remains of the two last named will be removed to Greensburg to-morrow for burial. One grave will hold both. from The Pittsburgh Commercial Gazette dated Wednesday, October 13, 1880 (page 4): The funeral services of Mrs BOYD, wife of Conductor J F BOYD, and Miss BOYD took place yesterday morning at - o'clock at the family residence on Lincoln avenue, after which the remains were taken to Greensburg for interment. The remains were interred in St Clair Cemetery, and were followed to their last resting place by a large concourse of people. from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records: Elizabeth BOYD, age 36 years, married, died October 10, 1880; born in Westmoreland County; lived on Lincoln Avenue; burial in Greensburg, Westmoreland County. Rosanna BOYD, age 26 years, single, died October 10, 1880; born in Westmoreland County; lived on Lincoln Avenue; burial in Greensburg, Westmoreland County. The ages on the death records are more in line with the ages on the 1880 census. Elizabeth BOYD is most likely a daughter of Benjamin and Mary MATTHEWS.
