The following is a list of the dead: Amos LANDIS, 28 years old, a glass worker of Grapeville, George A WATERS, 28 years old, a huckster, of Philadelphia, Kate BOYLE, 30 years old, a domestic at Stapleton's hotel, Penn avenue near Twelfth street (. . .) LANDIS came to Pittsburg to join the Junior Order of United American Mechanics. His body was taken to Grapeville last night by his brother. (. . .) The register showed James Smith and wife as occupying Room No. 20, and they have been identified as George A WATERS and Kate BOYLE. The man (sic) was found sitting in a chair with her head resting on the bed. The man was dead on the floor. His face was burned, but the woman apparently died from suffocation. John BOYLE, of South Twenty-third and Carson street, identified the remains of the woman as those of his wife. He said he left her about a year ago on account of her disinclination to stay at home. Her parents live in Beaver. One child, 4 years old, is being cared for at a religious home. Mrs BOYLE formerly worked for Mrs CLARK, Sheridan avenue and Station street, and for a Mrs BOYLE on Station street, East End. WATERS was married and leaves a widow. She lives on Chartiers street, Philadelphia. The body will be shipped east at the expense of WATERS' father, who lives at 451 Liberty street, Camden, N. J. The fire is supposed to have been caused by a leakage of natural gas in the linen room on the second floor of the hotel.
