from The Pittsburgh Press dated Saturday, November 10 1888  (page 5):

TOO MUCH GRIEF -  Mary Ann BRADY, the wife of Robert BRADY, died last
evening at the residence of her husband, corner of Soho street and
Wylie avenue.  Her death was caused by taking a dose of corrosive
sublimate.  She had been much bereaved by the death of her mother
several months since, and she became deranged and ended her life while
in this condition.  Coroner McDowell held an inquest today and found a
verdict in accordance with the facts.


from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records:

Ruth Ann BRADY, aged 44 years, married, died November 9 1888, suicide
by taking corrosive sublimate; born in Uniontown PA; lived at 641
Wylie; burial in Union Dale Cemetery on November 13 1888.

>From 1880 census, she is listed as Ruthe, and there was a daughter Mary M.
