from The Pittsburgh Gazette dated Saturday, September 13, 1902:
 
Mrs Joseph BURK of No. 3006 Mary street, South Side, was struck 
and instantly killed while crossing the Pittsburgh, Virginia & 
Charleston tracks at South Thirtieth street yesterday evening 
by special freight No. 1355.
