He fell from a shifting engine on the Pennsylvania railroad near Seventeenth street yesterday afternoon about 6 o'clock and was struck on the head by the wheels. He died an hour later at the West Penn hospital. from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records: John A CAIN, age 36 years, married, porter at Union Depot, died August 7, 1893 at West Penn Hospital, from injuries received to the head on the PRR at the 17th Street yards; son of Charles and Rachel CAIN; born in Mercersburg, Franklin Co, PA; lived at 602 Jones Avenue; buried in Union Dale Cemetery on August 9, 1893
