Casey had been seen about here for a week or so. It is supposed that late Saturday night or early Sunday morning Casey started to walk to Lilly or Cresson, when he was struck by a train. His watch was found on his body and the hands pointed the hour of 3:30 and it is believed that it was at that time in the morning he was killed. The body was badly mangled, both legs being ground off and his head terribly crushed. Casey's wife died in Braddock of smallpox about two months ago. There are five surviving children, all living in Braddock. Casey was aged 35 years. Undertaker C. O. Dimond took charge of the remains. Cambria Freeman, Ebensburg, Pa., Friday, August 28, 1903
