He died in about 15 minutes. (under an article titled, Echoes of the Night) from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records: Patrick CLIFFORD, age 23 years 6 months, single, railroad brakeman, died November 11, 1888, run over on the P & LE railroad in the 34th Ward; born in Schuylkill County PA; lived on Grace Street; burial in St Mary's Cemetery on November 13, 1888.
