All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/allegheny/ ________________________________________________ Taken from McDonald Pa Outlook 13 Nov 1919 Dr. Harry COLLINS, a brother of Mr. Frank COLLINS of Fourth street, died in a Baltimore hospital, where he had gone for treatment on Tuesday, November 11th. Dr. COLLINS had not been in good health for some time, being troubled with his stomach. He was operated on, but of no avail. Dr. COLLINS spent his boyhood days in McDonald, graduating from the McDonald high school, also the Duquesne University and the Georgetown University of Medicine. After finishing his course, he took up the practice of medicine in Pittsburgh and previous to his enlisting in the service of the world war, was a surgeon in the South side hospital, Pittsburgh. Dr. COLLINS went overseas and for his valiant service, was advanced to Major. Upon returning home he took up his work again at the South side hospital. His death came as a shock to his many friends. His brother Frank COLLINS, left for Baltimore on Tuesday evening. The body was brought to Pittsburgh on Wednesday morning. Arrangements have not as yet been made for the services. Dr. COLLINS is survived by his mother, three sisters, Mrs. John TURNER, of Butler; Mrs. Ed. MURPHY and Mrs. Joseph BOOKMYER, both of Pittsburgh, also two brothers, Charles, of Pittsburgh and Frank, of McDonald.
