He was about 60 years of age and leaves a wife and family of seven children. from The Pittsburgh Commercial Gazette dated Tuesday, April 29, 1884 (page 5): CONRAD - On Monday morning, April 28, 1884, at 9 o'clock, Maximilian L CONRAD, aged 61 years 4 months 3 days. Funeral from the family residence, Church Street, near Lincoln school house, Twenty-first ward, on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend. from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records: Maximilian CONRAD, aged 62 years, married, painter, died April 28, 1884, run over on the Pennsylvania Railroad in the 21st Ward by engine No. 702; born in Germany; lived on Church Street; burial in Oakland Cemetery on April 30, 1884. Oakland Cemetery burials were reinterred in Mt Royal Cemetery. Census listings have Max CONRAD with wife Elizabeth and children Jacob, Peter, Elizabeth, George, Emma, Ella or Ellen, and Hattie.
