Cotter, 81, of 2716 Atcheson Ave. died yesterday in John J. Kane Hospital. He was a retired employee of U.S. Steel's National Plant, a member of St. Mary Church, Olive Ave., and its Holy Name Society and an organizer and first president of United Steel Workers District 15 Pensioneers. Husband of the late Elizabeth Eizenhafer Cotter, he is survived by daughters, Mrs. Genevieve Robbins of Liberty and Mrs. Jean Stein of McKeesport; sons, Allen C. of Irwin and Philip W. of McKeesport; 12 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; and brother, Joseph of Wilmerding. He was born in Ligonier, Feb. 12, 1891, son of the late Cornelius and Lucinda Enis Cotter. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today in F. Striffler's of White Oak. Mass of resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in St. Mary Church, the Rev. George Stuparitz officiating. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
