ELIZABETH CURRAN. Mrs. Elizabeth Curran (Ackers), sister of Jacob Ackers, proprietor of the Woldorf [sic] hotel, this city, died at her late residence, 226 Stratford avenue, Pittsburg, yesterday morning. She was born in Bedford, November 13, 1845, and resided there until 12 years of age, when the family moved to Dudley. While in Dudley she married William Curran, in October, 1871, who preceded her to the grave ten years ago. She moved from Dudley to Houtzdale, from which point she, with her family, later moved to Pittsburg, where Mr. Curran was engaged in the hotel business until his death. Mrs. Curran was in failing health for the past ten months, suffering from a complication of diseases. She is survived by the following children: Lillian and Frank, at home; Mrs. James Kelley, Harry and Edward Curran, all of Pittsburg, and Augustus, of Steubenville, O. These brothers and sisters also survive: Mrs. Jacob C. Ackers, of Punxsutawney, and Mrs. Michael Carroll, of Newport News, Va. The funeral will take place from her late home in Pittsburg tomorrow morning. Mrs. Curran has been a member of Sacred Hearth Roman Catholic church of Pittsburg since residing in East Liberty, from which church the funeral services will be held.
