Mrs Mary C LEMON, 73 years old, died yesterday at the residence of her daughter-in-law, Mrs J I LEMON, 1324 Virginia avenue. The deceased was the mother of State Representative M B LEMON of the Third district; of Mrs Joseph FREED of Mt Oliver, and of Milton, Albert, Estep and Zeighman LEMON, who reside at Sigourney, Io. Services will be held this morning at 10 o'clock by the pastor of the Duquesne Heights Methodist Episcopal church, of which Mrs LEMON was a member. The funeral of Robert H PATTERSOON, ex-coroner of this county, will take place to-day from his late residence on Frankstown avenue. Mr PATTERSON was 75 years of age and was well known in politics. He was a Democrat and ran for the office of sheriff twice, but was defeated each time. He was a condidate against Peter DRESSLER for coroner, but did not win. When Mr DRESSLER died, he was appointed by Governor PATTISON to fill the office until election. The deceased was in the livery business for many years. During the late war he raised a troop of cavalry which was known as the First Maryland, Company G. The deceased had many friends in this city and county. He was a brother of the late Rody PATTERSON and uncle of Thomas M MARSHALL. ********************************************************************* from The Pittsburgh Press dated Friday, August 5, 1892: GATHERED TO REST In the death of their infant son, William George HAGEMANN, Dr J A and his wife, Lillie HAGEMANN, have the sympathy of their friends. The little one died yesterday and was laid to rest this afternoon from the family residence on Boggs avenue, Mt Washington. Samuel MARTIN, one of Allegheny's most respected citizens, died yesterday in the 88th year of his age. The funeral services will be held at his late residence, on Observatory avenue, to-morrow afternoon at 1 o'clock. A J MILLER, an esteemed resident of Hazelwood, is dead, at the age of 74 years, and his funeral will take place from the residence of his son, J H MILLER, Lowry street, to-morrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. William SILK, an aged representative citizen of Allegheny county, died yesterday at his recent home in Scott township, from which place he will be buried on Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The sudden death of Joseph A ADLER of this city at his mother's residence at Natrona, Pa., Tuesday morning, caused a shock to his many friends in this city and elsewhere. He died after a short illness of one week. Mr ADLER was a kind and congenial companion and a true friend, and was held in the highest esteem by all who knew him. He was buried from his mother's residence yesterday at 8:30 am. Mrs Mary C LEMON, who died Wednesday at the residence of her daughter-in-law, Mrs J I LEMON, in the 73d year of her age, was buried this morning after the funeral services, that were conducted by the pastor of the Duquesne Heights Methodist Episcopal church. She was the mother of Michael B, the well-known member of the legislature; George J, a resident of Chicago; Telghman, Milton, Albert and Estep, who live in Sigourney, Ia., and Mrs Joseph FREED of Mt Oliver. Mrs LEMON, whose maiden name was FLEMING, was born near Dawson, in Fayette county. The wife of O J STURGIS, of the Commercial-Gazette editorial staff, has been afflicted in the death of her mother, the widow of Dr Wilson GREENE, one of the best known physicians of Fayette and Green counties. The deceased was well known in this city, and was a lineal descendant of Rev John CORBLEY, the massacre of whose wife and children by the Indians at Garrard's fort about the middle of the last century forms one of the most thrilling chapters in the history of Greene county. While the Rev Mr CORBLEY walked in advance of his family on his way to preach at the meeting point of the sparseley-settled district, two Indians sprang from ambush and murdered the helpless woman and her children. Mr STURGIS will vacate his desk to-day and join his sorrowing wife at New Geneva, where he will remain until after the funeral services.
