He was piloting a draft of cars and was caught between two of them. He resided on Carson street. (under an article titled, Casualty Record) from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records: Alexander G DEVENNY, age 28 years, married, brakeman, died July 5, 1900, instantly killed on P & LE Railroad; son of Alexander & Lide DEVENNY; born in PA; lived at 35 Anderson Street: burial in Fallston PA cemetery on July 8, 1900.
