Funeral services at the residence of her son-in-law, Jehu HAWORTH, No. 44 Stockton avenue, Allegheny, Tuesday afternoon at ? o'clock. Interment private. from The Pittsburgh Press dated Monday, April 20, 1896 (page 11): Mrs Eliza CUBBAGE DEWHURST, widow of Richard DEWHURST, died suddenly on Saturday evening at the residence of her son-in-law, Jehu HAWORTH, 44 Stockton avenue, Allegheny. Her ailment was congestion of the stomach. She had been in poor health for some time past, but her condition had not been considered serious. Mrs DEWHURST was born in Massillon, O., 81 years ago, came to Allegheny at the age of 20, and had since resided there. James Stewart (sic), a son, and Anna M D HAWORTH, a daughter, survive her. from the Allegheny City Death Records: Eliza DEWHERST, aged 80 years, widow, died April 18, 1896, gastritis; daughter of James and Jennett; born in Mansfield PA; lived at 44 Stockton Avenue; burial in Highwood Cemetery on April 21, 1896.
