Dittler was an upholsterer in the employ of the Pennsylvania railroad company, and after receiving his pay went on a spree. His condition became so serious that he was unable to eat. He boarded at the Hotel Richelieu, at Chestnut avenue and Eighth street, and they were compelled to force him to eat to keep him alive. He was removed to the hospital Saturday about noon at died at the hour mentioned. Dittler came to this city about a year ago. He was aged about 35 years and is survived by his mother and several brothers and sisters. The remains were taken to Pittsburg yesterday afternoon by a delegation of his fellow workmen.
