Mr. DODDS was born in Butler county, this state, May 7, 1858. When he was eight or ten years old he moved with his parents to Oakdale and he had lived in this locality ever since. On September 30, 1885, he was united in marriage with Ellen MULVEY, who survives him. Mr. and Mrs. DODDS went to housekeeping near Oakdale. They lived on several farms and about ten years ago they moved from the MCDONALD farm, two miles north of town, into the borough of McDonald and have resided here since. In early manhood, Mr. DODDS joined the first Presbyterian church of Oakdale, later transferring his membership to the First Presbyterian church of McDonald. Besides his wife he leaves two sons and one daughter: John Frederick DODDS, Charles Allison DODDS, and Mrs. Albert BURNS, all of McDonald: also two brothers and two sisters: Thomas Nelson DODDS of Oakdale, James Allison DODDS of Bellevue, Mrs. Mary KALTENBAUGH of Pittsburgh, and Mrs. J. S. MOORE of Oakdale. The funeral services were held at the family home on Tuesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. W. D. IRONS, D. D. Interment was in Robinson's Run cemetery.
