Mr. Findley, born at Prospect, April 4, 1852, was the son of William and Elizabeth Cunningham Findley. The family moved to New Wilmington where his father became professor of Latin in Westminster College. There Mr. Findley was a member of the class of 1873. He came of an old Western Pennsylvania family, being a great grandson of William Findley, a member of the Continental and the United States Congress. Having been interested in religious and charitable affairs, Mr. Findley, at the end of his college course, entered the services of the United Presbyterian Board of Publications, and for many years was business manager of the board. Its present building on Ninth St. was built under his direction. Mr. Findley also was active, notably as teacher of the Men's Bible Class, in the United Presbyterian Church of Sewickley, and was a member of the Query Club. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Kate Ella Oudry Findley, daughter of Mrs. Catherine A. Oudry, of Ridge Ave., North St. and a son, Paul B. Findley, who now resides in New York City and is an executive of the Bell Telephone laboratories there. Funeral services will be held at his home at 1:30 p. m. tomorrow.
