Franks; she is survived by loving daughter Linda Franks Beebe & her husband Andrew Lawrence Bennett of Miami; a brother Roy Martin of NE; sisters Isabel Regan, Dorothy Gleichmann & Mildred Goodell, all of NY and Alice Sava of OR; and by many nieces and nephews. Also preceded in death by brothers Harry & Charles Martin and sisters Amy Candage & Ruth Martin. Mrs. Franks was born in St. John's New Brunswick, Canada on Feb. 10, 1907 to Percy & Margaret Maxwell Martin. Naturalized in 1934; married to Harold in 1935. Mrs. Franks graduated as a registered nurse from Prospect Heights Hospital and Brooklyn Maternity in 1929. She began her career in private duty in Brooklyn. After moving to Pittsburgh in 1942, she later worked for the Head Start Program, Planned Parenthood and then the Allegheny County Health Dept. She was a member of the North Borough's Women's Club and helped to constitute the North Hills Chapter #526 Order of the Eastern Star where she was a charter member. She was also a member of the Critique Club of Crafton, the Prospect Heights Hospital Alumni Association, The Sedgwick Maine High School Alumni Association and the West View United Methodist Church. Friends invited Sat. from 11 am until time of Services at 1 pm in THE ORION C. PINKERTON FUNERAL HOME, INC., 1014 California Avenue Avalon, (North Boros).OES Services on Sat. at 12:45 pm. Interment Allegheny County Memorial Park, McCandless.
