Edward A. Sr., on Sat., May 27, 1978, of the N. S.; husband of Marcella 
Hunkele Funk; father of Edward W. and Claude F. Funk, Mrs. Aurelia Huncheck, 
Mrs. Marcella Novelly and Rosemary Haberman; brother of Andrew Funk of Cal., 
Anthony Funk, Mrs. Marie Herbert, Mrs. Helen Herbert and Mrs. Catherine 
(Dolly) Walters; also survived by 24 grandchildren and 18 great-
grandchildren.  Member of St. Mary’s Holy Name Society, St. Mary’s Lyceum and 
Catholic War Veterans Post 1534.  The family will receive friends between the 
hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p. m. at the Sperling Funeral Home, Inc., 408 Cedar Ave., 
N. S. Funeral Service on Wed. at 10 a. m. with Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s 
Church at 11 a. m.
