Mrs. Florence K. Goldsmith, lifelong resident of Pittsburgh, died yesterday at
her home, 5453 Wilkins Ave., Squirrel Hill. Mrs. Goldsmith, past president of
national council of Jewish Women, Pittsburgh Section, was active in the
formation of Council Lounge and of the Amathan House for Senior Citizens, Co-
chairman on the National Board of the Council of Jewish Women, she was a member
of its nominating board, She was a life member of the board of Pittsburgh's YM &
WHA, Ladies Hospital Aid Society, Hilltop Garden Club, Youth Symphony and the
Rodef Shalom Temple and its Sisterhood. She also served on the United Masons
Board of Pittsburgh. She is survived by her husband, Isidore M.; a son, Ronald
K. of Fox Chapel; a sister, Mrs. Rosalyn Schonberg of New York City, and two
grandsons. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 tonight at the Ralph Schugar
Chapel, 5509 Centre Ave. Shadyside, where services will be at 1 pm tomorrow.
Burial will be private, The family requests contributions to the National
Council of Jewish Women or the Jewish Home and Hospital for the Aged.
