He was standing on the rear of his train when it suddenly started. He was jostled off and was thrown onto the track. The wheels of half a dozen cars passed over his prostrate body. Funeral will take place Friday morning at 10 am at the late residence, 127 South Canal street, Allegheny. from the Allegheny City Death Records: Edward GARBER, age 34 years, married, conductor, died October 13, 1896, instantly killed on WPRR; born in Indiana; lived at 127 S Canal Street; burial in St John's Cemetery on October 16, 1896.
