He was removed to the Homeopathic hospital, where he died about 6 pm, attended by his mother and three brothers. The remains were removed to Flannery's undertaking establishment on Frankstown avenue. Rev I N HAYS attended the dying man yesterday afternoon. The mother resides at Glenwood, from which place the funeral will take place. Deceased was unmarried and a member of the Knights of Pythias and other organizations. He was among the oldest freight conductors on the road. from The Pittsburgh Press dated Tuesday, April 1, 1890 (page 4): The funeral of James B GRAHAM, the well-known young conductor who was killed on the Baltimore & Ohio road at Glenwood on Sunday, will take place tomorrow from his late home on Americus street and will be attended by members of the Jr O U A M, K of P, and other orders to which he belonged. Rev WILKINSON will conduct the services. (under an article titled, Work of the Grim Reaper) from the City of Pittsburgh Death Records: James B GRAHAM, age 29 years, single, freight conductor, died March 30, 1890, crushed on the tracks of B & O RR; was born in Allegheny Co PA; lived in Pittsburgh; burial in Riverton Cemetery on April 2, 1890. Riverton Cemetery is now known as McKeesport & Versailles Cemetery. Census listings suggest that his parents are John and Jane M GRAHAM, originally from England.
