Allen O. Grimm Jr. White Oak Rev. Allen O. Grimm Jr., 75, of White Oak, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010. He was the son of the late A. Orville and Gertrude Eloise (Keirs) Grimm; beloved husband of 56 years of Elaine (Izatt) Grimm; loving father of Rev. Allen (Patricia) Grimm, John (Karla) Grimm, Elyse Ann (Ellis) Michaels and James Andrew "Andy" (Joan) Grimm; special Pap to Aaron (Kasia), Jacob, Joshua, Kallie Grimm, Willis (Kristie), Lindsey Praksti, Hannah, Hetti Kukic, Melinda (Jason) Gibson, Jo Anna (Shane) Smith, Thomas, Cecelia and Trent Michaels; also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Gail Smith, of California; and preceded in death by a sister, Jean Nahom; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and all who loved this wonderful man. Allen was a United Methodist Pastor for 16 years serving the Lord. Later in life his passion for flying was fulfilled when he received his solo pilot license in 1997. He was also the Pastor of Greater Works Outreach and member of the United Methodist Church in Pitcairn. Rev. Allen was very devoted in praying for others, his love for his family and more importantly his Jesus Lord. Family and friends are welcome to a memorial service celebrating Allen's life at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Greater Works Outreach, 301 College Park Drive, Monroeville, PA 15146. Officiating will be the Rev. Cindy Bloise, Gerald Amaroso and Allen O. Grimm III. Arrangements are being entrusted to the ALFIERI FUNERAL HOME INC., Wilmerding, PA 412-824-4332. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests clothing and monetary gift contributions for the GWO Homeless Ministry (please bring donations to memorial service).
