HADDEN, one of McDonald's best known men, died at his home in East Lincoln avenue Wednesday night, August 27, 1919 at 11:15 o'clock. Mr. HADDEN had been in poor health for a long time, but for the past few months he had been in better health until he suddenly took worse about ten days previous to his death. His many deeds of kindness, done in his quiet, unassuming way, brought joy in many homes. Mr. HADDEN was born August 4th, 1862, at Knoxville, Ohio, coming to McDonald when a boy. On June 23d, 1886 he was united in marriage to Miss Hannah SCOTT at Gaily. Mr. and Mrs. HADDEN started housekeeping in McDonald and have lived here since. Five children were born to this union; Elizabeth, who died August 25, 1904; Mary, the wife of John MCDOWELL of McDonald, Margaret, at home; Grace, who died December 6, 1901 and Cora, show died September 1, 1898. Funeral services were held at the home on Saturday afternoon at 2:30, in charge of Rev. W. D. IRONS, D. D. pastor of the First United Presbyterian church of this place.
