Deceased had run an engine out of the round-house for the purpose of assisting to replace a part of the Pacific Express train which had jumped the track. In attempting to couple the two engines it seems the driver of the express backed too hastily and crushed Hall. He was carried into one of the railroad buildings, and a physician summoned, but before any aid could be given death resulted. An inquest will be held to-day. Mr. Hall was a resident of East Liberty where he leaves a wife and three children. - Pittsburg Evening Leader, 16th. Altoona Sun, Altoona, Pa., Friday morning, December 20, 1872
