HARDGROVE died at her home on Union avenue, Oakdale. Miss Margaret had been in poor health the past three years and just recently had undergone an operation in the Mercy hospital, returning home about four weeks ago. Her death came as a great shock to her many friends who entertained the hope that she was on the road to recovery. On Thursday she became alarmingly ill and suffered greatly until claimed by death Saturday noon. Miss Margaret was one of those rarely beautiful characters who lived in their service to others--self was never considered by her. Her life's work was devoted to teaching and for the past thirty-five yeas has been one of the faithful teachers in the Sturgeon school, a member of St. Patrick's church, and faithful in all her Christian duties and privileges. A tribute of love and respect was shown by the many beautiful floral tributes. Miss Margaret will be sadly missed, especially by the devoted sister, Miss Anna at home, who has been so faithful in caring for her; her sister, Mrs. BIRMINGHAM, of Knoxville, brothers Michael of Charleroi, Joseph of Youngstown, and George, of Pittsburgh. The funeral services were held Tuesday morning. Interment was in St. Patrick's cemetery.
